Busy couples often struggle to find time for intimacy in their relationship. These are the people we want to talk to this week in the Ready for Love podcast. But anyone who wants more intimacy can benefit from this show. Technology can limit our actual connections with other people – but my guest Kate Moyle is bringing us information about Pillow Play, an app and a program that helps couples spend more time together and to increase their intimacy. Increase your communication, touching, kissing and much more.

About Kate Moyle –
Kate Moyle is a Psychosexual & Relationship Therapist who works with couples and individuals to help them get to a place of sexual health, happiness, and wellbeing. Kate often works with people to recognise their personal understanding of their sexuality and sexual health; with the view that issues have roots in psychology, emotion, the physical body, and a person’s history and culture. After studying a BSc in Psychology Kate went onto complete her Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychosexual Therapy, followed by her MA in Relationship Therapy.
Alongside her therapy work and practice Kate co-founded Pillow Play www.pillow.io alongside Founder Darren Smith. Pillow Play, which originally started as an intimacy app for couples, has been further developed into a 30 day intimacy programme to help couples shake up routine and increase intimacy in their relationship. The app provides follow-along audio-guided episodes for couples that allow them to be in the moment and completely focused on each other, something both Kate and Darren felt was becoming a rarity in modern couple life, as we substitute gazing into each other’s eyes for gazing into our screens.
Pillow Play www.pillow.io – the 30 day intimacy program for couples. Recommended by Esther Perel in her Rekindling Desire workshop and with content from experts from the fields of sex, relationships and intimacy.
The world we are living in is changing right in front of our eyes, and the main reason for that is technology. As a therapist and especially one based in a Capital City like London, I see the impact of this more and more on my clients lives, and often and especially when it comes to sex. We felt that part of this problem was that there were so many products about making couples, but so few about helping to keep them together and we wanted to make something that was based on the users and not on the technology.
The concept is simple. Pillow Play is made up of a series of follow-along audio guided episodes that are written specifically to boost intimacy. Think Simon Says for Couple Time! Episodes are based around different types of intimacy such as eye-contact, sensual touch, hugging, communication, consent, sensory deprivation and kissing and the whole point is that the couples press play and then focus all of their attention on each other – because of the follow-along audio they don’t even need to think about what they are doing, it’s very mindful they just listen and do. This means that it can be especially helpful for where there is anxiety around sex, but we also believe that is acts as a reminder about nurturing the intimacy, and maintaining desire in long term relationships. The reason we made it into a 30 days program is so couples commit, they commit to doing something different, commit as little as five minutes a day, and commit to amazing intimacy.
